David Beckett - Benefits supervisor
David recently joined the Law Centre from the Birmingham Tribunal Unit where he worked as a tribunal representative. He has 25 years experience as a welfare rights specialist. He has represented at appeals and upper tribunals across a wide range of benefits.
Janet Gurney - Benefits advisor
Janet has over 30 years experience as a welfare benefits advisor. She has worked for most of this time for Leicestershire County Council as the manager of the welfare benefits team providing a specialist advice and consultancy service for adult and children’s social care. This work focussed particularly on maximising income for those who lived in residential care or who received community care services from the local authority.
She has a wide range of experience in all areas of benefits advice including appeals, training and information and policy work. Janet has a particular interest in policy work and has experience of setting up and maintaining liaison arrangements between benefits advisors and DWP and district councils in Leicestershire, advising her previous employer on how to respond locally to national policy changes and contributing to consultations around proposed benefit changes.
Danny Fearns - Benefits advisor
Danny has been a specialist advisor in social security law since the 1980s. He has a reputation as an advocate at Social Security Appeal Tribunals, gained over many years and hundreds of tribunals. Danny has a wealth of experience covering all areas of benefits law. Danny has also represented many cases at Social Security Commissioners Appeals.
Natasha Ramrous - Benefits advisor
Natasha joined Coventry Law Centre as a specialist welfare benefits advisor.
Andy Malik - Benefits advisor
Andy is an experienced welfare benefits advisor who recently joined Coventry Law Centre as a specialist advocate in Upper Trubunal appeals.
